COVID-19 education and support stream launched to help people eat well, stay calm and active at home

1st April 2020

In response to unprecedented demand, Gro launched a COVID-19 education series today.

Patients with obesity, type 2 diabetes and hypertension have been shown to be at higher risk of severe COVID-19 complications.

The Coronavirus Education Series, available in the Gro app from today provides:

  • 10-lesson education series and practical actions to minimise the risk of infection and spread of COVID-19
  • Guides on living in self-isolation
  • Techniques on coping with stress and anxiety

Patients also have support from qualified Behaviour Change Mentors within the app.

A breakthrough opt-in study will look at the use of Gro during COVID-19. The study will assess anxiety, depression and perceived stress outcomes before and after use of Gro's meditations and mindfulness activities. The real-world study will evaluate all of the users who engaged from March 1, 2020 to April 1, 2020.
